Do the Right Thing! File Bankruptcy!

Docs for Bankruptcy

Question: Now I finally realize that doing the right thing means filing for bankruptcy. The right thing is getting out of debt, stopping the wage garnishment, and finally being able to save some money without all the stress. I’m taking anti-depressants because of all my debt.

I admit that for a while, too long, I didn’t want to file bankruptcy. I wanted to pay all my debts. But then, after a friend who I’ve known for many years told me he filed and that it was the best thing he’s ever done, I took a harder look at all my options, including bankruptcy.

I realized that I shouldn’t be paying back these big companies like Bank of America, SunTrust, Visa and MasterCard. They have a ton of money already, more than I could ever imagine, and they don’t need any more money, especially my money.

I’ve always worked hard and I want to keep my money. I deserve to keep my money, and I don’t think I should have to pay money to these big corporations that have all the money anyways.

Like I said, I’ve always paid my debts. I’ve always worked. I’m a good person. I’m an honest person. So for once I want the law to work for me and that’s why I’m contacting a Roswell bankruptcy lawyer. It seems the only people who benefit from our laws are rich people, companies, and criminals. I’m a regular guy and I think I should get a break.

I got into financial trouble after my hours got cut at work. And then I got a second job, but that didn’t help all that much. When I got sick, the bills started mounting. Then I started to live on my credit cards and I took out personal loans. Those credit card companies and banks sure wanted to lend me money. It’s like they didn’t care that I wasn’t making too much and that I probably would never pay it all back.

So now I want to do the right thing and file bankruptcy because that’s what all these companies and rich people do. President Trump has filed bankruptcy several times, and he’s a billionaire. If our president and the leader of the free world can go bankrupt, I think I can too. Please tell me something about bankruptcy and what I have to do.

Answer: We hear from clients every day that filing bankruptcy was the best thing they’ve ever done. It gets them out of financial debt, it stops wage garnishments, lawsuits and harassment, and it relieves their stress. And it is a big relief for people when they have gotten rid of their debt.

Many, many people feel that filing bankruptcy is the right thing to do for themselves and their families. And, yes, many rich people and big companies file bankruptcy, and many of them do it more than once!

We’ll go into details about your specific situation and how a bankruptcy filing can help you. But, generally, people file either a chapter 7 or a chapter 13. Both chapters get you out of debt and both prevent harassing phone calls, letters, lawsuits, and garnishment. The main difference is that a chapter 7 eliminates your debt (with a few exceptions); while under a chapter 13 you would repay at least a portion of the debt.
